Application
For connection of electrical equipment in contaminated water and for medium mechanical stresses. Especially for frequency-converter-controlled AC drives.
Due to the various substances in the contaminated water, the cables may be used only in easily accessible areas that can be inspected, with an installation depth of approximately 10 metres, as normally used in sewage water tanks.
These cables are also suitable for use in process water, cooling water, mine surface water, rainwater and combined wastewater. They may also be used in groundwater and seawater. Less stringent specifications concerning accessibility and inspection may be imposed in these cases, allowing the cables to be used at depths of up to 2,000 metres.
Water types are defined in accordance with DIN 4045 and DIN 4046. If the water concerned is aggressive or contains special substances, the cable’s resistance properties should be examined.

Conductor: Copper, finely stranded, Class 5 — tinned up to and including 6mm²
Insulation: EPR
Core Colours:
3 core — Brown, Blue, Green/Yellow
4 core — Brown, Black, Grey, Green/Yellow
Additional pilots — White cores with black numbering
Screen: Tinned copper braid
Sheath: CPE, black, UV stable and suitable for outdoor installation

Operating Temperature: -40°C to 90°C, with a maximum fixed temperature of 110°C**

*This cable uses an EI4 insulation compound in accordance with VDE/IEC and complies with Australian Standard AS/NZS 5000.1 for a voltage rating of 0.6/1kV.
**For application temperatures above 90°C, a reduced service life should be considered.
